Applying for a grant or award
The Darryn J Benjamin Foundation awards grants to individuals and organizations in performing arts, visual arts, and community art outreach programs, for children & youth ages 4-25. Applications will be considered for an award for the following benefits:
A. Music lessons - Based on eligibility and availability.
B. Musical instrument (drums/percussion, guitar, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, keyboard) - Based on availability.
C. Vocal lessons - Based on eligibility and availability.
Selection Process: Students will be expected to write an essay or send us a music composition. We will also provide an opportunity from time to time to participate in a fine arts contest. The board members and other passionate members of the leadership team will review the student’s application/submission and award a full or partial grant towards a musical instrument and in some cases some starter lessons all based on the need and circumstances. Awards and grants are all subject to availability.

Acoustic Guitars, Electronic Drums, Acoustic Drums, Junior Drums, Electric Percussion Kit, Keyboards, Coronet, Violin, Viola, Ukuleles, Bass Guitar, Xylophone, Saxophone 🎷, Trumpets 🎺, and more…
Note: Subject to availability and selection process.
Public or Private School Band Teachers / Instructors are free to apply as well.

Music Grants
Most of our efforts pertaining to the music program involve studying new approaches and developing innovative ways to implement them.
We welcome applications from individuals ages 4-25 who have an inherent talent and gift in the music field, but do not have the resources to obtain an instrument and lessons to take them to the next level.
Education Grants
We see every challenge as an opportunity, and this initiative helps us ensure that our partners are better prepared to manage the unique situations they find themselves in. We are invested in an innovative approach that empowers our community and delivers the support they need, when they need it.
High School and College Tuition Scholarships to help finish out the final or remaining semesters (Effective Spring 2023).
Community Outreach
Through our Community Development, we have the potential to make a real and positive change in the community. This is one of our key areas of focus here at Darryn J Benjamin Foundation, and a source of much success for our Non-Profit Organization.
